Mastermind yourself one step at a time

[excerpt]I met Bill Hibbler last night who along with Joe Vitale wrote Meet and Grow Rich a book about the inner workings of mastermind groups. I discussed with him my experiences with mastermind group. I had just finished reading his book the night before so it was fresh on my mind.[/excerpt]
He believes the best way to start a mastermind group is to find one person at a time. My experience shows that this is a good idea. Form a two person mastermind group and then look for a third that both of you agree on and build it up to six or eight people. The book is very good and if you are serious about masterminding you should read it.

    Great post Chris!

I write a blog on Mastermind Groups and just posted a comment about your blog: How Many Members To Start With?

We always start our groups with at least 4 members and then build up to a maximum of 8.

    Good luck with yours!

    Evan.

When creating mastermind groups for other I agree starting with four is best. I started my own mastermind group with my girlfriend and then at a seminar meet two people that we both liked and have it up to four now.

    Hi Chris,

It was a pleasure to meet you in Austin. I generally like to stick to 5-6 members for a mastermind group. If you have more than 6, either the meetings tend to go too long or everyone doesn’t get enough time to talk and get feedback.

    All the best,

    Bill Hibbler
